This weekend my friends and I and Whittier's new Indian club have been trying to promote the Indian holiday Diwali by drawing rangoli around campus (with chalk) and lighting candles....which kinda became messy...oops!

But was overall a success! and today we went to a Hindu temple (BAPS Swaminarayan) in Chino Hills to celebrate the festivities with locals. It was so colorful seeing all the women in their saris and salwars....i dont know why i didnt get a picture of that...Dorothy and I also got Mehndi done on our hands. I was retarded and realized halfway through I gave the nice lady my RIGHT hand.

Last night some of us went to see Where the Wild Things Are...and after watching it...I don't remember the book at all...I seriously haven't read it since I was little. It was a good movie...and I have to say that I did cry when Max left the island....and Carol comes running into the water. It was so upsetting I could barely watch...LOL I'm such a sucker. But anyway all I could think about was this lady's bento...
